Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy Signs Agreement to Establish Economic Intelligence Unit in Food Industry

The Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy signed an agreement today, October 8, to create an economic intelligence unit in the food industry sector.

This initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness of industrial enterprises and promote innovation in their production methods.

The signing of this agreement falls within the framework of the Program to Support Competitiveness in the Industrial Sector and Exportation (PACE-AMIT), a project developed in collaboration with the Tunisian-German technical cooperation and supported by the European Union through the "Qualitative Growth for Employment" (CQE) program. This is the first agreement of its kind to be implemented in the sector.

Among the signatories were the Director General of Food Industries, the Director General of the Food Industry Development Pole in Bizerte, and the Director General of the Technical Center for Food Industries.

This economic intelligence unit will have the mission of monitoring strategic economic trends, initially focusing on key sectors such as olive oil and dates.

It will play a crucial role in supporting exportation and improving the competitiveness of enterprises, while encouraging the adoption of innovative production methods.
