Entrepreneurship Plays a Vital Role in the Economy, Especially in the South-Mediterranean Region

Entrepreneurship, particularly among young entrepreneurs and small businesses, brings new ideas, creates jobs, and helps the economy grow. The cultural and creative industries (CCI) are especially promising, as they transform ideas into success. These industries include activities such as art, music, cinema, fashion, and craftsmanship. This dynamic sector enriches culture and stimulates the economy by generating revenue and attracting investments.

In this context of innovation, the closing event of the CREACT4MED project, titled "Forging Future Paths for Creativity and Culture," took place today. The event was held at the EMEA headquarters, located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sant Pau Recinte Modernista, in Barcelona. It highlighted the achievements and best practices in the CCI sector, including some from Tunisia.

The event emphasized the importance of unleashing the creative potential of the South-Mediterranean region. With comprehensive policy recommendations, it aims to create a thriving CCI ecosystem. The CREACT4MED project, after 4 years of implementation, supports entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs, with a particular focus on young people and women. It aims to create jobs and promote sustainable growth. CREACT4MED is funded by the European Union through the EuropeAid program.

A highlight of the event was the award ceremony for the "Best Practice" awards, which recognized the best initiatives in the CCI sector. Among the winners, two Tunisians were honored, which was a great pride for their country.
