Morocco Introduces Temporary Electronic Visa Procedure for CAN 2025
The Moroccan authorities have announced the implementation of a temporary electronic visa procedure (AEVM) to facilitate entry into Morocco for the 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2025), scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Eligibility and Application Process
This measure applies to citizens of countries subject to visa requirements, including Tunisians. It will be effective from September 25, 2025, and will remain in place until January 25, 2026. Individuals interested in attending the matches must submit their application through the digital application "YALLA", specifically developed for the event in collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. Applicants must submit their request at least 96 hours before their planned travel date by accessing the official portal.
Exemptions and Standard Procedures
On the other hand, visa applications for other purposes, such as tourism, business, or family visits, will continue to follow the standard procedure. However, certain travelers will be exempt from this temporary procedure, including:
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports
- Individuals with a valid residence permit in Morocco
- Transit passengers with a transit visa
- Spouses of Moroccan citizens
- Individuals over 55 years old Note that this temporary electronic visa procedure is an exceptional measure to facilitate travel for CAN 2025 and will not affect the standard visa application process for other purposes.
