CORP Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Employment and Professional Training in Tunisia
For over a decade, the CORP has played a driving role in employment and professional training in Tunisia, offering young graduates a second chance through an innovative professional retraining program inspired by the German model. This unique partnership between Tunisia and Germany combines expertise, personalized support, and a direct response to market needs, with a tangible social and economic impact.
The CORP, a department of the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Tunisia), celebrated its 10-year commitment to employment and professional training on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the iconic Beit El Hikma venue. The ceremony was attended by Fakher Zaaybi, Director of Cooperation and Socio-Economic Environments at the Ministry of Employment and Professional Training (MEFP), Elisabeth Wolbers, German Ambassador to Tunisia, and members of the AHK Tunisia management and several institutional and economic partners.
Since its creation in 2015, the CORP has established itself as a key player in the Tunisian labor market. Its flagship project aims to provide a second chance to young graduates from fields with limited access to employment.
Ameni Boubaker, Director of CORP, AHK Tunisia, highlighted in an exclusive statement to Managers that thanks to the four services they have implemented to support Tunisian youth, including professional retraining, career guidance, soft skills training, and job fairs, over 12,000 young people have found employment. These young people, often initially without training, education, or employment, are now qualified and employed in a sustainable manner, to the great satisfaction of partner companies.
Regarding the next steps and strategic axes for preparing for the year 2026, she indicated: "We are preparing several innovations for our recruiting companies. Among them, the 'CORP Talent' event, which will take place on September 26, 2026, in Tunis, as well as the 'Alternance and Performance' program, designed to enable companies to recruit already qualified talents. Finally, the 'CORP Boost' project will be launched to help companies recruit young people trained in soft skills and immediately operational."
It is worth noting that these training programs are based on the German dual system model, combining apprenticeship in companies and teaching in specialized centers. They also include preparation for essential transversal skills (soft skills) to ensure successful professional integration.
To date, approximately 18,000 people have participated in CORP activities. This success fully illustrates the CORP's mission: to guide and qualify job seekers to secure well-paid, secure, and adapted positions. This dynamic also benefits companies seeking qualified profiles.
For her part, German Ambassador to Tunisia Elisabeth Wolbers emphasized that the growing interest of young people in professional retraining responds to the need for a more inclusive and sustainable economy. The CORP also supports young people who are already qualified but whose profile does not match the current needs of companies, particularly in the booming green sectors. This support contributes to improving the quality of life of beneficiaries while supporting Tunisian economic development.
Ghazi El Biche, President of the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, presented the project's balance sheet and perspectives, emphasizing the fundamental role of Tunisian-German cooperation and the involvement of German companies in this success. The project targets diversified sectors such as industry and information technology, offering real opportunities for social advancement, particularly for young people without a privileged network.
In summary, several beneficiaries have gone beyond their initial training to become entrepreneurs, further reinforcing the CORP's tangible social and economic impact in Tunisia.
