Tunisia: State Financing Convention with Local Banks Officially Published

The financing convention between the Tunisian state and a group of local banks, aimed at financing the state budget, has been officially published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT).

During a plenary session on July 2, 2024, the Assembly of the People's Representatives adopted this convention with 85 votes in favor, 18 abstentions, and 5 votes against.

Signed on May 16, 2024, this convention enables the mobilization of approximately 570 million dinars in foreign currencies (156 million euros and 16 million dollars) thanks to the participation of 16 local banks.

These banks are:

  • Attijari Bank
  • Banque Nationale Agricole (BNA)
  • Amen Bank
  • Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB)
  • Bank ABC
  • BH Bank
  • Société Tunisienne de Banque (STB)
  • Union Bancaire pour le Commerce et l'Industrie (UBCI)
  • Al Baraka Bank
  • Tunis International Bank
  • Banque Zitouna
  • Wifak International Bank
  • Banque de Tunisie et des Émirats
  • North Africa International Bank
  • Banque Tuniso-Koweïtienne (BTK)
