Meta is taking the user experience to the next level by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) within WhatsApp. Following the arrival of ChatGPT in December 2024, the app is announcing a new feature: AI can now analyze photos and voice messages, transforming interactions into a more fluid and intuitive experience than ever.
Initially launched as a text-based tool, ChatGPT on WhatsApp is now adapting to a wide range of multimedia content. Thanks to significant technical improvements, the AI reacts in real-time to images and voice messages. A simple photo of a landscape, object, or daily moment is enough for the AI to generate relevant and surprising responses. For example, when a user shares a photo, ChatGPT can offer its opinion, sometimes with a touch of humor, making the interaction both relevant and entertaining. This also showcases its remarkable ability to visually analyze.
A New Dimension for Voice Interactions The AI is no longer limited to images; it's now handling voice messages. On-the-go, users can ask questions out loud or describe a situation, and the AI responds in an adapted and relevant manner. This advancement, particularly useful for those in motion, reinforces WhatsApp's accessibility and versatility.

- Open the Chats tab.
- Click the + button at the top right, then select New Contact.
- Choose the United States as the country, then enter the number: +1 800 242 8478.
- Save and start the conversation.
