Closure Ceremony of the Technical Cooperation Project between ISTIC and University of Aizu
The Higher Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ISTIC, Tunisia) of the University of Carthage and the University of Aizu (UoA, Japan) are announcing the closure ceremony of the technical cooperation project, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Project Overview
The project, titled "Establishment of a Human Resource Development Model for ICT Startups for Women and Young People in Tunisia", was jointly implemented by ISTIC-University of Carthage and UoA from January 2023 to September 2025. The initiative was launched following the signing of an agreement on October 4, 2022, formalizing the collaboration between the University of Carthage, JICA, ISTIC, and the University of Aizu, with the objective of strengthening the entrepreneurial and technical capacities of young people and women in Tunisia in the field of information and communication technologies.
Ceremony Details
The ceremony will take place at the Khawarizmi Hall, City of Sciences of Tunis, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ambassador of Japan in Tunisia, the President of the University of Carthage, as well as representatives of JICA, the CEO of the Japanese incubator TSI, and academic partners from ISTIC and the University of Aizu. This celebration will highlight the success of a fruitful partnership and the concrete impact of the project on strengthening the entrepreneurial and technical skills of young Tunisians, contributing to the stimulation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Tunisian startups.

- 09:55 - 10:00: Welcome and opening of the ceremony by Nadia Mzoughi, President of the University of Carthage
- 10:00 - 10:15: Intervention by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
- 10:15 - 10:30: Intervention by the Ambassador of Japan in Tunisia
- 10:30 - 10:40: Intervention by the JICA representative in Tunisia
- 10:40 - 10:50: Intervention by Prof. Abderrazek Ben Abdallah, Dean of the University of Aizu
- 10:50 - 11:00: Intervention by Dr. Lazhar Manai, Director of ISTIC
