Huawei Dominates Smartphone Sales in China
Chinese tech giant Huawei has dominated smartphone sales in its home country, with sales soaring during the period from May 20 to June 16. According to market research and consulting firm Counterpoint Research, the manufacturer sold over 42% more than in 2023.
This surge in sales is attributed to the continued demand for its new 5G products.
In China, total smartphone sales saw an increase of 6.8% during this period compared to last year, with Xiaomi sales rising by nearly 12.6% and Apple sales increasing by 2.7%.
