Cepex to Organize Prospection Mission at Food and Beverage West Africa 2024

The Centre for Export Promotion (Cepex) is set to organize a prospection mission on the occasion of the "Food And Beverage West Africa" exhibition, taking place from June 11 to 13, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria. This mission, managed by Cepex's commercial representation in Abuja, will consist of B-to-B meetings and a collective participation in an 18m² exhibition space.

Tunisian Agri-Food Products in the Spotlight

The exhibition space will be dedicated to showcasing Tunisian agri-food products, including:

  • Olive oil
  • Dates and their derivatives
  • Canned food (harissa, sardines, tuna, etc.)
  • Sauces (mayonnaise, ketchup, etc.)
  • Cheese
  • Confectionery
  • Biscuits
  • Packaging materials

FAB West Africa: A Key Event for the Agri-Food Industry

The "FAB West Africa" exhibition brings together over 300 international exhibitors and attracts around 5,000 visitors, mainly from Nigeria and the West African region.

Growing Trade Relations between Tunisia and Nigeria

In 2022, trade exchanges between Tunisia and Nigeria reached 53.5 million dinars, representing a 150% growth compared to the previous year (21.5 million dinars in 2021), according to Cepex data. The main agri-food products exported from Tunisia to Nigeria are olive oil, dates, biscuits, and fresh fruits.
