Meeting between Cepex and PAEZ to Support Exporting Companies
Mourad Ben Hassine, General Director of the Centre for Export Promotion (Cepex), met with Chawki Friia, General Director of PAEZ, as well as several executives and representatives of companies based in the Zarzis Economic Activity Space (PAEZ) on Friday, May 3rd.
Objective: Supporting Exporting Companies
This meeting is part of the implementation of a strategy aimed at supporting exporting companies and developing institutional support programs. The goal is to bring Cepex services closer to industries and services across the national territory.
PAEZ: A Strategic Hub for Economic Activities
The Zarzis Economic Activity Space, which currently hosts over 50 companies and spans 60 hectares, offers 1,400 jobs. Its strategic location, modern infrastructure, and support system for each investor make it an attractive hub for economic activities. The main sectors represented include mechanical and electrical industries, solar energy, information and communication technologies, shipbuilding, logistics for oil and gas, construction, and agri-food industries.
Launch of Cepex's On-Site Visit Program
This visit marks the beginning of Cepex's on-site visit program for companies. The program aims to support and accompany small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, and innovative companies in their access to international markets, thereby strengthening their competitive position.
Discovering the Latest Technologies
During the visit, the latest technologies offered by PAEZ were showcased, including the "Zarzis Smart Center", which specializes in telecommunications, information and communication technologies, and virtual reality.
Cooperation to Promote Tunisia's Image Abroad
Discussions took place on ways to cooperate to promote Tunisia's image abroad, particularly in view of its participation in the "Expo Osaka 2025" exhibition.
