Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training Announces Expansion of Competence Certificate Training
The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training has announced the generalization of training leading to the competence certificate in all public and private training establishments.
This decision, announced on Friday, January 31, 2025, by the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Riadh Chaoued, aims to expand access to training and respond to the needs of the labor market.
This measure is part of the diversification of the training offer to include new categories of people who were unable to integrate into the vocational training system. The goal is to enable them to obtain a certificate classified at the first level of the national skills scale. According to the minister, this certification plays a crucial role in adjusting the labor market by rapidly and effectively responding to the needs of the economic fabric. The training will be short-term and based on renewed approaches, focusing on simplifying procedures and reducing deadlines, while maintaining a principle of continuous evaluation to ensure the improvement and development of skills.
In a governance approach to the sector and to bring services closer to beneficiaries, the ministry has entrusted the regional directorates of employment and vocational training with managing requests from establishments wishing to provide this training. This decentralization aims to strengthen the effectiveness of the system and facilitate administrative procedures for the actors concerned.
Prior to this generalization, a series of regional meetings was organized during January 2025 in all regions of the country. These meetings allowed for the presentation of the conditions and procedures to be followed for the implementation of training leading to the competence certificate.
