Published on February 8th on his channel, this 21-minute and 42-second video has surpassed 42 million views in less than 24 hours, confirming the immense influence of a creator followed by 359 million subscribers.
Titled "100 Hours at the Pyramids of Giza", this short film plunges viewers into the most secret recesses of the legendary site. MrBeast and his team explored rarely shown areas: narrow walls, hidden funeral chambers 30 meters underground, and even sections usually closed to visitors. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, they filmed stunning architectural details.
The adventure was not without its challenges: the YouTuber notably got down on his knees to crawl 91 meters through a narrow passage, a sequence that went viral. But it's mainly his controversial challenge that sparked buzz: MrBeast buried a $10,000 figurine somewhere on the site, inviting his fans to find it. An amusing initiative for some, criticized by others, which also relaunches debates about the mysterious origins of the pyramids, including theories about extraterrestrial intervention.
Collaboration or Controversy?
In the video description, MrBeast joked about obtaining permission to film, leaving room for doubt. Quickly, the Egyptian State of Antiquities reacted: "No rental of the pyramids took place. The shooting was simply authorized outside of official opening hours."
But far from being a clash, this collaboration seems to have seduced the authorities. Located 13 km from Cairo, the Giza plateau, a historical jewel inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list, benefits from unprecedented exposure thanks to this video. With millions of views generated in just a few hours, Egypt is counting on the MrBeast effect to attract curious travelers.

This adventure is part of a larger strategy: Egypt wants to renew its image by relying on international influencers.
