The 2024 Times Higher Education rankings have highlighted 27 Egyptian universities among the world's best, with 7 institutions ranking in the top 200 and 4 in the top 100.
Top Performers
The University of Cairo stands out at 39th place, followed by Mansoura (67th), the American University (93rd), and Alexandria (97th). Beni Suef (111th), Suez Canal University (125th), and Ain Shams (169th) complete this group of excellence.
Other Notable Performances
Al-Azhar and Kafr El-Sheikh universities rank between 201st and 250th, while institutions like Assiut, Benha, and Port Said occupy ranks between 251st and 300th.

This global ranking, which evaluates 749 institutions from 92 countries, is based on criteria including engineering, biology, physical sciences, and computer science.
