BYD Tunisie Highlights Latest Advances in Electric Vehicles and Renewable Energy at Electromobility Seminar

At the 4th edition of the electromobility seminar organized by Ami Assurances, Lassad Mrabet, General Manager of BYD Tunisie, shed light on the latest developments of BYD, which has become an indispensable player in the field of electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies. With over 9 million electric vehicles produced, BYD has risen to the top of global brands in sustainable mobility. The company plans to open 500 sales points in Europe by 2025. Moreover, thanks to its innovations, BYD has reduced global CO2 emissions by over 58 billion kilograms, confirming its crucial role in the fight against climate change.

Mrabet also emphasized that promoting electric mobility is not only essential for the environment but also for the economy. By massively introducing electric vehicles, studies show that it would be possible to reduce fuel subsidies by half and achieve energy savings of up to 34%. Thus, the impact of electric mobility on the country's economy is undeniable, especially since road transport remains a significant source of pollution, according to the World Health Organization.

BYD's journey is a true success story. Founded by a chemical engineer, the company started by producing batteries before positioning itself as a global leader in electric mobility. In just five years, it has developed a clear strategy to become an indispensable player in this sector. BYD's main objective is to contribute to reducing the global temperature by 1°C through its innovations in electric vehicles and renewable energy. To date, BYD has already avoided the emission of 58 billion kilograms of carbon thanks to its technologies.

BYD continues to strengthen its position in the green technology sector, supporting global efforts towards a sustainable energy transition. In Tunisia, the upcoming partnership between BYD and Ami Assurances, which will be officially announced soon, will open up new perspectives for electric mobility, with significant development potential for the country.
