Tunis Stock Exchange Publishes 2024 Activity Report
The Tunis Stock Exchange has released a report on the evolution of stock exchange transactions during 2024, titled "2024 Stock Exchange Activity Report", highlighting a significant 33.2% increase in the overall transaction volume, reaching 3,675 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), compared to 2,760 Mtnd in 2023.

- The Tunis Stock Exchange accounted for 48.1% of the overall transaction volume, while the Over-the-Counter (Hors-Cote) market captured 0.5%, and registrations and declarations made up 51.4% of transactions.

- The transaction volume on the Tunis Stock Exchange recorded a slight 2.9% decrease, reaching 1,767 Mtnd, compared to 1,819 Mtnd in 2023.
- The average daily transaction volume was 7 Mtnd, down from 7.2 Mtnd the previous year.
- Capital title transactions dominated, representing 91.1% of transactions, with a value of 1,610 Mtnd, a 1.9% decrease compared to 2023 (1,641 Mtnd).
Block Transactions
- Block transactions accounted for a significant portion of exchanges, representing 27% of capital title transactions and 24% of the overall transaction volume on the Tunis Stock Exchange, with a value of 431.7 Mtnd, down from 531 Mtnd in 2023.
Investor Breakdown
- Tunisian investors largely dominated transactions, with a 79.9% share, followed by Open-Ended Investment Companies (OPCVM) with 10.6%, and foreign investors with 8.7%.
Sectoral Breakdown
- The "Finance" sector concentrated 33.5% of transactions on the Tunis Stock Exchange, with a value of 520.6 Mtnd, followed by the "Industries" sector with 33.1%, and the "Consumer Goods" sector with 18.8%.
- Debt securities represented 8.9% of the transaction volume on the Tunis Stock Exchange, with a value of 156.7 Mtnd, down from 177 Mtnd in 2023.
