Tunis Stock Exchange Announces Special Operating Hours for Ramadan

According to a notice from the Tunis Stock Exchange, the stock market will operate on specific hours during the month of Ramadan, effective from March 3, 2025. Trading will begin at 8:30 am and end at 12:00 pm, with a negotiation session on screens from 10:00 am to 10:15 am. Different markets, such as the Main Market, Alternative Market, and Sukuk Market, will have distinct trading hours. For example, the Alternative Market will operate from 10:15 am to 12:00 pm, while the Main Market and Sukuk Market will have sessions from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. The auction, on the other hand, will take place every Friday from 10:00 am.

Quotation Thresholds and Fluctuation Margins

Quotation thresholds vary significantly depending on the groups and types of rights. For some groups, thresholds can range from 2% to 52%, while others, such as subscription rights, have no thresholds. Authorized fluctuation margins are also specific to each market, with variations of up to 10% for certain markets. Allocation rights apply thresholds of 25% for the first month of quotation, which increase to 250% thereafter. New unassimilated shares follow the static thresholds of their parent line.

Minimum Transaction Amount for Block Trades

The block market requires a minimum transaction amount of 1,000,000 dinars, which is crucial for investors seeking to make large-scale transactions. Markets such as the Fund Market and Off-Exchange Market share this minimum transaction amount requirement. These specificities enable investors to better plan their financial strategies, taking into account the required minimum amounts and authorized fluctuation margins, thereby ensuring effective management of their portfolios.
