UN Launches Applications for Regional International Law Course in Africa
The United Nations is launching applications for its regional course on international law in Africa, scheduled to take place from February 20 to March 14, 2025, in Addis Ababa.
This program, designed for African professionals in international law, aims to strengthen peace, security, and cooperation among states on the continent. Organized in partnership with Ethiopia and the African Union, this regional course offers a unique opportunity for African international law officials and teachers to enhance their skills on international legal issues.
The program will be held at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa headquarters and will cover essential topics such as treaty law, international responsibility, and international security. The objective is to help participants better understand regional and international legal issues, with a view to promoting more effective cooperation among states.
Scholarships are available to cover participation costs, including travel, accommodation, and other expenses. Applications are open until October 29, 2024.
