Borgstena Confirms Plans to Set Up in Tunisia
The Borgstena group has confirmed its project to set up in Tunisia, according to the FIPA. On July 5, Paulo Meireles, head of the Trim division for Europe and South America, met with Jalel Tebib, general director of the FIPA. They discussed the progress of setting up a specialized textile factory for the automotive industry in Tunisia.
Meireles explained that choosing Tunisia was a natural decision, thanks to the availability of skilled labor, proximity to their clients, and rapid cooperation from local partners.
In recent months, Borgstena's executives have visited Tunisia several times, meeting with key players in the textile and automotive sectors, such as the Tunisian Federation of Textile and Clothing, the Tunisian Automobile Association, as well as private companies and local authorities, to better understand the Tunisian business environment.
