EU and Togolese Government Launch Call for Startups for BlueInvest Africa Event
The European Union, in collaboration with the Togolese government, has launched a call for applications for startups wishing to present their projects at the BlueInvest Africa event, scheduled to take place on October 15-16 in Lomé.
BlueInvest Africa is a major platform that facilitates connections between innovative African entrepreneurs in the blue economy, international investors, and institutional actors.
After organizing previous editions in the Seychelles and Kenya, the 2025 event in Togo will showcase mature projects that promote an inclusive and sustainable blue economy at the African continental scale.
"BlueInvest Africa is more than just an event, it's a strategic platform to unlock sustainable investment opportunities in Africa's blue economy, and a concrete example of EU-Africa cooperation in action," said Charlina Vitcheva, Director-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries at the European Commission.
This edition is part of the European Union's Global Gateway strategy, which aims to strengthen investments between Africa and Europe through sustainable economic partnerships.
