International Tender for Wheat Acquisition: Lowest Offer at $262.91 per Tonne
According to European traders, the lowest price offered in the international tender launched by the Tunisian Grain Office on Thursday for the acquisition of approximately 75,000 tonnes of soft wheat is $262.91 per tonne, cost and freight (c&f) included.
The offers are still being evaluated, and no purchase decision has been announced yet. It is worth noting that the lowest offer is not systematically selected if the associated conditions are deemed unfavorable, reports Reuters.
The lowest bid is said to have been made by Cargill, a trader, for a quantity of 25,000 tonnes of optional origin wheat.
Cargill is also reported to have submitted the second most competitive offer, at $263.91 per tonne, for the same volume.
These estimates are based on market operators' assessments, and further adjustments to prices and volumes remain possible.
The requested delivery period would span from May 20 to June 30, depending on the origin of the supplied wheat.
