Tunisia Investment Forum: A New Era of Sustainability and Opportunities

On June 12-13, 2024, the Tunisia Investment Forum (TIF) will kick off its 21st edition, themed "Tunisia, where sustainability meets opportunities." The government is shifting into high gear, with new policies aimed at simplifying administrative procedures, a major obstacle for investors, according to Minister of Economy and Planning, FĂ©ryel Ouerghi. This move aims to boost the country's economic development and wealth creation.

"The government is envisioning policies to consolidate the Tunisian economy, increase competitiveness, and adaptability of businesses," she added. To achieve this, "sectoral strategies will focus on scientific research and innovation, opening up opportunities and valuing the skills of young talents. We are also working to accelerate the energy transition and mitigate the impact of climate change on water resources," she emphasized.

Indeed, the government is focusing on simplifying administrative procedures and improving specifications to encourage investment and diaspora participation, with a view to digitizing the Tunisian administration.

Furthermore, during the event, the minister highlighted the ongoing development of a 100% digital national investment portal, in partnership with various stakeholders. This portal aims to gather all services for investors, responding to their needs and facilitating the processing of their requests.

Organized by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, this event is partnering with the European Union this year.
