Minister of Social Affairs Announces Opening of Medication Distribution Center in Kasserine

The Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Zahi, announced today that the Kasserine governorate is preparing to host a Center for the Distribution of Specific Medications, with an expected opening by the end of May, according to information from the Tap.

This center, to be based at the headquarters of the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) in Kasserine, aims to provide essential medications and cancer treatments. This initiative aims to respond to the critical medical needs of the local population, particularly in terms of oncological health.

Furthermore, Minister Zahi announced the creation of a regional center in the Kasserine region, scheduled for the end of June or early July 2024. This regional center will be responsible for managing documents related to care and specific medications, ensuring the availability of necessary treatments for patients in the central western governorates.

The inauguration of a new local CNAM office in Feriana, in the Kasserine governorate, was also highlighted by the minister. This office, operational as of today, will extend its services to over 100,000 people, as part of the Ministry of Social Affairs' strategy to bring social services closer to citizens.

This major initiative marks a significant step forward in access to healthcare and specialized pharmaceutical care for residents of Kasserine and surrounding regions. The creation of these centers demonstrates the government's ongoing commitment to improving healthcare services and the well-being of its citizens.
