Tunisia to Benefit from Mobile Medical Units for Underprivileged Regions
A new agreement signed between the Ministry of Health and Qatar Charity will provide Tunisia with mobile medical units for underprivileged regions, with a financing exceeding 3.5 million Qatari riyals (approximately 2.7 million Tunisian dinars). The agreement, concluded on Monday, May 5, 2025, in Tunis, aims to acquire and equip these mobile medical structures.
Signed in the presence of the Minister of Health, the Ambassador of Qatar to Tunis, and the Executive Director of Qatar Charity in Tunisia, this convention aims to strengthen access to healthcare in marginalized areas often overlooked by public investments.
The Minister of Health highlighted the humanitarian scope of this initiative, stating that "health should not be a privilege but a fundamental right for every Tunisian, wherever they may be." He also praised the depth of fraternal ties between Tunisia and Qatar, emphasizing a shared vision of social development based on solidarity and health justice.
This initiative adds to several other cooperation projects between the two countries, as Tunisia strives to improve its healthcare offer, particularly in rural areas often lacking adequate medical infrastructure.
