Tunisian and Mauritanian Postal Services Seal Strategic Partnership

The Tunisian and Mauritanian postal services have recently sealed a strategic partnership during a visit by a Mauritanian delegation to Tunisia. The agreement, signed by General Directors Sami El Mekki and Alioune Ould Issa, covers various areas such as postal, financial, and digital services, as well as training for executives and human resource development. The creation of a joint postage stamp is a testament to their commitment to strengthening their cooperation and promoting exchange in the postal sector.

Digital Payment Platform Launched

By the end of 2022, the Tunisian Post had launched an electronic payment platform on mobile, dubbed "Al Barid Cash," for the benefit of the Mauritanian Post. This initiative aims to offer digital solutions, simplify electronic transactions, and facilitate online commerce for Mauritanian citizens. Through this platform, they can now access a wide range of financial services via their smartphone, including money transfers, bill payment, and cash withdrawals at affiliated merchants.
