Temporary Closure of Regional Road 36 in Ben Arous
The General Directorate of Bridges and Highways, under the Ministry of Equipment and Housing, has announced the temporary closure of a section of Regional Road 36, at the Miami intersection (Ben Arous), due to resurfacing and widening works.
Affected Traffic and Alternative Routes
The closure will affect traffic coming from Tunis via Regional Road 22, heading towards El Mourouj, and will be in effect on:
- Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Monday, July 21, 2025, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Motorists traveling from Tunis to El Mourouj can take the following alternative routes:
- Take National Road 3 at the Ben Arous Trauma and Burns Center
- Continue on Regional Road 22, then turn right at the Bir El Kassaa interchange towards Ben Arous, and return through the "El Iskane" City interchange

The Ministry urges all road users to respect the signage in place and exercise caution during the duration of the works.
