Tunisia's Foreign Exchange Reserves Reach 24.811 Billion Dinars, Covering 112 Days of Imports

As of August 14, the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) have reached 24.811 billion Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), allowing for 112 days of import coverage. Compared to August 13, the reserves have increased by 87.2 million dinars, although the number of days of import coverage remains unchanged.

Compared to the same period last year, this increase is even more significant. On August 14, 2023, the reserves stood at 23.7817 billion Mtnd, covering 103 days of imports. Over the past year, the reserves have increased by 1.0293 billion dinars, equivalent to an additional nine days of import coverage.

This growth in foreign exchange reserves is a positive sign for the Tunisian economy, suggesting effective management of foreign exchange flows by the BCT. The maintenance of 112 days of import coverage also reinforces this stability.
