Through the journeys of seven major yet often overlooked figures, this documentary pays tribute to a generation of Great Men who, in the decades following Tunisia's independence, contributed to laying the foundations of the modern state.

These "builders" worked with passion and determination, often in challenging circumstances, to emerge a country that became one of the most prosperous in the region.

The film sheds light on their decisive contributions in various fields, including:

  • Infrastructure: Mokhtar Latiri
  • Chemical Industry: Ali Boukhris
  • Finance: Mansour Moalla

  • Agriculture: Ameur Horchani
  • Energy: Mekki Zidi
  • Manufacturing Industry: Abdelwaheb Ben Ayed

The film tells the story of their concrete achievements, as well as the obstacles they overcame, without ever being deterred from their mission.

"Bâtisseurs" is also a message of hope and inspiration for young generations: it reminds us that with vision, audacity, rigor, and hard work, it is possible to transform a country.
