Tunisia's Unemployment Rate Decreases to 15.7%
According to the latest figures published by the National Institute of Statistics on its website, Tunisia's unemployment rate has decreased to 15.7% compared to 16.0% in the third quarter of 2024.
The number of unemployed individuals stands at 664,500, a decrease of 2,700 compared to the third quarter of 2024.
On the other hand, the unemployment rate has slightly increased for men, standing at 13.6% compared to 13.3% in the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, it has decreased for women, dropping to 20.3% (22.1% in the third quarter of 2024).
Unemployment Rate among Young People Aged 15-24
In the first quarter of 2025, the unemployment rate among young people aged 15-24 has decreased to 37.7%, compared to 40.5% in the third quarter of 2024. This decrease affects both men (38.4%) and women (36.3%).
Decrease in Unemployment Rate among Higher Education Graduates
The unemployment rate among higher education graduates has decreased to 23.5% in the first quarter of 2025, compared to 25% in the third quarter of 2024.
This rate stands at 13.6% among men and 30.7% among women.
