Tunisia Sees 33.5% Increase in Date Exports in 2024
During a coordination meeting on the national program to promote the date sector, Minister of Commerce and Export Development, Samir Abid, announced on Monday, December 16, that Tunisian date exports have seen a 33.5% increase in 2024, reaching 40.805 million dinars, compared to 30.552 million dinars in the previous campaign.
The Minister stated that the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development's program will be implemented regarding exploratory missions, for example, in Asian countries (China, Indonesia...) and Northern Europe, according to a statement published by the Ministry on Tuesday.
He emphasized the need to prepare well and develop a promotion program to support the presence of Tunisian products and their competitiveness in traditional markets and to explore new opportunities in promising markets, particularly in light of increasing foreign competition.
