Ministerial Meeting Decides to Maintain Chemical Fertilizer Prices and Authorize Tunisian Chemical Complex to Supply Necessary Quantities
A ministerial meeting, overseen by Head of Government Ahmed El Hachani at the Government Palace in Kasbah, has decided to maintain the prices of chemical fertilizers and authorize the Tunisian Chemical Complex to supply the necessary quantities for the 2024-2025 agricultural campaign.
The meeting also decided to accelerate the procedures for allocating a plot of land to the Tunisian Chemical Complex to establish strategic stocks of 150,000 tons.
According to a statement from the Government Presidency, maintaining the current prices of fertilizers will enable farmers to purchase the necessary inputs at reasonable prices, thereby reducing pressure on production costs.
Furthermore, it was recommended to strengthen coordination between the Ministries of Transport, Interior, and Employment and Vocational Training to train truck drivers in the transportation of hazardous materials.
