Tunis Stock Exchange Resumes Normal Activities

The Tunis Stock Exchange announced on Thursday the return to normal of all its activities, after completing the work to restore its main computer center, which was disrupted by an electrical failure on June 28. The institution also specifies that its website is once again fully operational. Market data, press releases, and other online services are accessible again, according to a statement.

Technical Intervention and Investigation

The Financial Market Council (CMF) indicates that technical teams intervened as soon as the incident was detected to restore systems as quickly as possible. The regulator adds that a technical investigation is still ongoing to identify the exact origin of the failure. The goal is to draw the necessary lessons and, if necessary, strengthen the security and resilience devices of the computer infrastructure.

Continuity of Activities

While waiting for the complete return of the main center, the Tunis Stock Exchange activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) by switching operations to its backup site on June 29, 30, and July 1. This solution allowed for the continuity of trading without interruption.
