Kasserine and Béja Regions Affected by Heavy Snowfall and Risk of Flooding

The Regional Commission for Combating Natural Disasters in Kasserine has decided, during an emergency meeting held on Friday, January 17, 2025, to suspend classes from 10 am until Saturday. All necessary resources will be mobilized to intervene. The delegations of Thala, Ain, Bou Chebka, Feriana, and Jedliana have been affected by heavy snowfall, resulting in the closure of National Road Number 17 connecting Thala to Kasserine. The regional commission, comprising all its members, has gone to the scene to monitor the situation and intervene if necessary.

Meanwhile, the Regional Commission for Preventing Natural Disasters in Béja has decided, on Friday, January 17, 2025, to suspend classes in all primary schools in the region from the afternoon due to precipitation and the risk of flooding.

It is worth noting that the Regional Commission in Jendouba decided yesterday, during an emergency meeting, to suspend classes from 10 am until Saturday.
