DEFIS Project Launches Call for Social Inclusion Experimentation Proposals

The DEFIS project, led by Handicap International and FACE in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Center for Research and Social Studies, is launching a call for proposals for social inclusion experimentation. This project aims to improve the support of vulnerable populations, strengthen the coordination of aid programs, and promote intersectoral practices of personalized support. Civil society organizations are invited to submit projects in the areas of social and economic integration, support for economic activity, and improvement of beneficiary identification for the AMEN Social program.

The initiatives must be implemented in specific zones: Gabès, Jendouba, Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid, and Greater Tunis. A total amount of 1,950,000 TND is allocated, with grants ranging from 100,000 TND to 199,000 TND for an individual organization and up to 265,000 TND for a consortium. The projects must target priority groups such as young people from needy families, women victims of violence, people with disabilities, ex-detainees, and young Tunisians returning from abroad.

Application files must be completed in French and submitted electronically to appel-a-projet-defis@outlook.com before March 16, 2025, at 23:59. Any submission after this date will be rejected. An online information session is scheduled for February 7, 2025, at 09:30 and will be accessible via the following link: Microsoft Teams. In-person sessions will also take place between February 10 and 12, 2025, in the concerned cities, allowing interested organizations to obtain more information about the call for projects.

Participation in the information sessions is strongly encouraged, although not mandatory. The DEFIS team will not be able to respond to individual requests outside of these sessions. Organizations wishing to submit a proposal must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submission modalities to be considered for grant allocation.
