NASIJ Project: Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in the Textile Sector

The NASIJ project, "New Sustainable Alternatives for the Integration of Young People in the Textile Sector," is launching a call for applications to support the new generation of textile and clothing entrepreneurs.

About the Initiative

This initiative, led by the NGO COSPE in collaboration with CEFA, is funded by the Italian Cooperation and aims to boost young entrepreneurs in the Monastir, Mahdia, and Sfax regions.

Program Overview

The program is designed for young entrepreneurs and women leading innovative startups or micro-enterprises in the textile and clothing industry. It offers comprehensive support, including:

  • Personalized coaching tailored to their region
  • Customized technical assistance
  • Financial support of up to approximately 15,000 Tunisian dinars to consolidate and develop their business
  • Access to an extended network of key players in the sustainable textile sector in Tunisia and Italy, facilitating exchanges and partnerships

Project Objectives

The NASIJ project aims to promote a more inclusive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly textile sector, while strengthening the economic autonomy of young people and women. It is part of a strategic approach to territorial development and international cooperation.

Implementation Partners

The program is implemented by COSPE and CEFA in partnership with several Tunisian and Italian institutions, including:

  • Centre technique du textile (CETTEX)
  • Forum Tunisien pour les Droits économiques et sociaux (FTDES)
  • Fondazione PIN/UNIFI
  • Université de Monastir (ISMM)
