National Agency for Energy Management Unveils Three National Initiatives to Reinforce Carbon Neutrality

The National Agency for Energy Management (ANME) presented three national initiatives on Thursday during a workshop, aiming to strengthen coordination and complementarity between national programs on decarbonization, as well as facilitate the exchange of expertise among concerned actors.

Three National Initiatives for the Decarbonization Process

  • Development of a specification sheet for a new carbon accounting process in Tunisia, aiming to unify methodologies, and reinforce transparency and reliability in calculating emissions.
  • A new code of practice for carbon accounting within Tunisian institutions, standardizing methodologies and reinforcing transparency and credibility in calculating emissions.

Workshop Highlights National Efforts to Support Low-Carbon Economy

This workshop is crucial in highlighting the most essential national efforts to support the transition towards a low-carbon economy, based on the principles of efficiency, and sustainability, in order to reinforce the competitiveness of Tunisian enterprises in the face of climate and economic challenges.
