AMI Insurance Publishes Q1 2024 Activity Indicators
AMI Insurance has released its activity indicators for the first quarter of 2024. The company reports a turnover of 44.8 billion dinars. This performance represents a slight 3% decrease compared to the same period last year, when the turnover stood at 46 billion dinars.
Breakdown of Activities
The non-life insurance segment generated 36.8 billion dinars, a 2% decrease from the 37.5 billion dinars recorded in the previous year. This decline is mainly attributed to the decrease in premiums issued in the automotive sector. However, this contraction was partially offset by an 8% growth in the fire and technical risks segments.
Life Insurance
In the life insurance segment, premiums issued experienced a more marked 6% contraction, decreasing from 8.5 billion dinars to 8 billion dinars between 2023 and 2024.
Claims
The company paid out a total of 19.7 billion dinars in claims, representing a 5% increase compared to the previous year.
Financial Products
Financial products, on the other hand, experienced a 1 billion dinar decrease.
Commissions
Finally, commissions received remained stable at 5.5 billion dinars.
