Amen Bank Closes First Half of 2024 with Net Profit of 124.6 Million Tunisian Dinars

Amen Bank has closed the first half of 2024 with a net profit of 124.6 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), up from 112.6 Mtnd recorded during the same period in 2023.

The net banking product has progressed, reaching 295 Mtnd as of June 30, 2024, illustrating sustained growth in banking operations. Additionally, the net cost of customer risk has decreased significantly, standing at 48.2 Mtnd.

Regarding the investment securities portfolio, it shows a balance of 2,678.6 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd) as of June 30, 2024, up from 2,400.6 Mtnd recorded at the end of 2023. However, deposits and assets from banking and financial institutions have decreased, falling from 400.1 Mtnd as of December 31, 2023, to 221.7 Mtnd as of June 30, 2024.

On the other hand, customer deposits and assets have increased, reaching 7,985.1 Mtnd at the end of the first half of 2024, compared to 7,625.6 Mtnd at the end of the previous year. The commissions received by the bank have risen to 75.3 Mtnd, marking an increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Finally, interest and similar income totaled 403.9 Mtnd for the first half of 2024, while investment portfolio revenues reached 117.9 Mtnd.
