Ministry of Agriculture Adjusts Prices of Selected and Ordinary Seeds
The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries has announced in a statement the adjustment of prices for selected and ordinary seeds. This measure is part of the program aimed at providing sufficient quantities of cereals for the 2025-2026 season.
Prices of Selected Seeds
The prices of selected seeds are now set at:
- 170 dinars per quintal for durum wheat
- 140 dinars per quintal for soft wheat
- 130 dinars per quintal for barley and triticale
Prices of Ordinary Commercial and Controlled Seeds
Only barley is concerned, with a price set at 115 dinars per quintal.
Additional 3% Charge
The Ministry also specifies that a 3% supplement will be added to the price of selected seeds subject to commercial exploitation contracts, referred to as "deduction rights".
