Tunisia Shines at the First Edition of the "African Impact Awards"
Tunisia has made a remarkable impression at the inaugural "African Impact Awards" held recently in Stockholm, Sweden, taking home two major distinctions. The country was recognized as the top African nation in promoting education and combating illiteracy, while also excelling in the field of public health. These awards are a testament to Tunisia's consistent efforts since its independence in 1956 to establish an inclusive and equitable education system. The provision of free and compulsory education, as well as the expansion of school infrastructure across the territory, have been at the heart of this national strategy aimed at building the country's human and social capital. Tunisia's participation in this ceremony, organized by Afrocommunity Magazine, PositHiva Group, and Gilead Nordics, reflects the commitment of Tunisian diplomacy to promote African successes on the international stage. In a statement, the Tunisian Embassy in Stockholm expressed its gratitude to the organizers for highlighting the progress of African countries and welcomed the recognition awarded to Tunisia. This double distinction confirms Tunisia's position as a influential player in Africa, not only in education but also in public health, thereby strengthening its image as a model for human and social development on the continent.
