The 4th African ESG Summit: A Platform for Connection, Not Just Conversation
October 8, 2026 | Sheraton Tunis
The 4th edition of the African ESG Summit, organized by Managers on October 8, 2026, at the Sheraton Tunis, aims to be more than just a conference. It is designed as a dynamic platform connecting decision-makers, investors, and providers of sustainable solutions.
A Strategic Question for African Businesses
This year’s summit addresses a question that has become strategically critical for African companies: How can businesses continue to export and remain competitive as international trade rules are rewritten by European regulations?
Key regulatory frameworks such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) are progressively reshaping access to global value chains. For Tunisian companies, simply producing and exporting is no longer enough. Businesses must now:
- Measure their environmental footprint.
- Guarantee product traceability.
- Ensure the reliability of their ESG data.
- Anticipate the expectations of clients and financiers.
Theme: "Export Sustainably"
Under the theme "Export Sustainably," this edition will bring together executives, ESG and finance directors, experts, investors, and institutions. The primary objective is to transform these regulatory constraints into levers for competitiveness, resilience, and market access.
A Platform for Concrete Business Connections
Beyond keynotes, panels, and a certifying masterclass, the African ESG Summit positions itself as a hub where business relationships are forged concretely:
- B2B Sessions: Organized to facilitate qualified meetings between exporters, buyers, ESG solution providers, and investors. In 2025, these sessions generated 149 meetings and 60 transactions.
- Sustain’Awards: Recognizing startups and African companies that provide concrete sustainable solutions, while boosting their visibility among investors and major buyers.
- Impact Hackathon: Conducted in partnership with STAR, this initiative mobilizes young talents to develop solutions that use sport as a lever for inclusion.
- Exhibition Hall: Bringing together ESG solution providers, institutions, and partners, serving as a networking space throughout the day.
A Day Focused on Business Realities
The program follows the journey of an exporter, covering:
- Decarbonization and the impact of new European regulations.
- Traceability and sustainable logistics.
- Sustainable finance and ESG bankability.
In the afternoon, two masterclasses will provide participants with directly operational tools on:
- ESG Risk Management.
- AI Agents for Compliance.
Building a Community Over Three Editions
Since its inception, the African ESG Summit has established itself as a key space for dialogue between businesses, experts, and decision-makers. The 3rd edition, held in 2025 in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Tunisia & Libya, gathered 348 participants to discuss artificial intelligence, Net Zero, responsible investment, and the reliability of ESG data.
The 4th edition marks a new step: moving from commitment to action.
