Africa Trade Boost Event: Boosting Tunisian SMEs' Integration into Sub-Saharan African Markets
The Center for Export Promotion (Cepex) has announced the launch of the "Africa Trade Boost Event". This event is part of an ongoing project aimed at integrating Egyptian, Moroccan, and Tunisian markets into regional African markets. Supported by the European Union under its Trade and Competitiveness program, the project is led by EY Tunisia in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Main Objective
The main objective of the event is to promote the integration of Tunisian SMEs into Sub-Saharan African markets, particularly in Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana.
Event Activities
The event consists of two main activities:
Training Sessions
The training sessions will focus on two themes:
- Exploring commercial opportunities with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Risk-sharing and pricing strategies for these markets
Online B2B Event
The online B2B event will provide Tunisian businesses with the opportunity to establish potential partnerships and connect with new clients.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, businesses must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be an SME with 1-249 employees and an annual turnover not exceeding €50 million
- Operate in the production and/or distribution of electrical cables, ceramic tiles, or in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), specifically software development
