ADAPT Africa 2024: Strengthening Economic Resilience on the African Continent
The first international African conference, ADAPT Africa 2024, kicked off on October 18 at the Méhari Hotel in Yasmine Hammamet and will run until October 20. This high-profile event brings together over 500 economic personalities from 35 countries, highlighting the growing importance of economic cooperation on the African continent.
Organized in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Agency in Tunisia and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), the forum focuses on a crucial topic: the sustainability of businesses and their ability to adapt to multiple crises shaking the global economy. Specifically, discussions center around the lessons learned from the Covid-19 crisis, the rise of cyberattacks, and the challenges posed by climate change.
According to Raouf Riahi, president of the forum committee, the objective is clear: to raise awareness about the importance of flexibility in managing public and private enterprises. "The ability of businesses to adapt to crises is essential for ensuring their long-term survival," he stated.
During the three-day conference, experts share their experiences and discuss strategies that enable businesses to overcome obstacles while preserving jobs and ensuring optimal management. Participants from across Africa, including countries like Sudan and Nigeria, have highlighted the relevance of this forum in the current context.
In parallel to the conferences, several practical workshops are organized, offering a platform for exchange between experts and participants. A trade fair featuring specialized consulting firms also allows businesses to establish contacts and build fruitful collaborations.
The forum goes beyond just debates; it will culminate in the creation of the African Organization for Business Sustainability and Flexibility, which will be headquartered in Tunisia. This organization aims to promote the resilience of African businesses in the face of global economic challenges.
