Accor Hotel Group Appoints Hassen Chaouache as Vice President of Operations for Premium, Midscale & Economy Segments in Tunisia and Algeria
The Accor hotel group has announced the appointment of Hassen Chaouache as Vice President of Operations for the Premium, Midscale & Economy segments in Tunisia and Algeria. He officially took up his new role on April 14, 2025, succeeding Michael Calixte, who was recently promoted to Regional Vice President of Fairmont for Morocco and General Manager of the Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech.
Based in Tunisia, Hassen Chaouache will exercise his new responsibilities under the direct supervision of Aiden McAuley, COO of Managed Hotels Premium, Midscale & Economy for Europe and North Africa. This appointment is a continuation of a solid career path, driven by over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
His career began at the Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa hotel in Hammamet, before going international, notably in Germany, where he held the position of Sales Director at the Intercontinental Berchtesgaden Resort. Upon his return to Tunisia, he successively took the helm of several iconic establishments of the Mövenpick group: Sousse in 2017, Sfax in 2019, and Gammarth in 2021.
