Abu Dhabi Aims to Become the First Fully AI-Powered Government by 2027
Abu Dhabi is ambitious to become the world's first government to be entirely powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) for all its digital services by 2027. The Emirate's government has launched its "Digital Strategy 2025-2027" with an investment of AED 13 billion. Implemented by the Department of Government Enablers (DGE), in partnership with local and global entities, this initiative aims to integrate AI into all government systems.
The strategy is built on an evolving digital infrastructure, complete adoption of sovereign cloud computing, and the digitalization and automation of processes. A unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform will be deployed to improve efficiency. Over 200 AI-based solutions will be integrated into public services, backed by advanced cybersecurity standards and solid digital frameworks.
The "AI for All" program will invest in citizen training to enhance their AI skills. These efforts are expected to generate over AED 24 billion for Abu Dhabi's GDP by 2027 and create 5,000 jobs, supporting Emiratization initiatives.
