Abdessalam Eloued Re-elected as President of the International Olive Council's Advisory Committee
Abdessalam Eloued, a member of the executive bureau of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts (UTICA), has been re-elected for a new two-year term (2025-2026) as President of the Advisory Committee of the International Olive Council (IOC).
This re-election took place during the 63rd session of the Advisory Committee, which brought together representatives from 23 olive oil-producing countries.
In addition to his international responsibilities, Abdessalam Eloued is a key player in the Tunisian olive oil sector, serving as CEO of Rivière d'Or, a company specializing in the production and export of conventional and organic olive oils.
His re-election as President of the Advisory Committee reflects his commitment and expertise, recognized both nationally and internationally.
The re-election meeting took place in a positive context for the sector, with global production estimated at 3.3 million tons for the 2024-2025 season.
Countries such as Tunisia, Spain, and Turkey are experiencing significant increases, demonstrating an encouraging dynamic despite the challenges.
With this new mandate, Abdessalam Eloued aims to continue efforts to strengthen cooperation between producing countries and promote sustainable practices in the olive oil industry.
