Bank ABC Tunisie Announces 2024 Net Income of 15,214 MTND
Bank ABC Tunisie has announced a 2024 net income of 15,214 MTND, compared to 13,892 MTND the previous year. The bank saw its Net Banking Product increase by 22.4% to 83,196 MTND. The interest margin soared by 34.4% to 54,723 MTND. Net commissions stood at 7,940 MTND, while revenue from securities and financial operations totaled 20,533 MTND.
In addition, the bank's risk cost decreased from 6,544 MTND at the end of 2023 to 3,322 MTND a year later. The bank's assets remain very healthy, with classified claims amounting to 37,887 MTND (32,519 MTND in 2023), representing a CDL rate of 6.5% (7.3% in 2023).
The bank's commercial activity evolved positively in 2024, with a deposit balance of 1,555,3978 MTND, an increase of 390,558 MTND, mainly due to the growth of sight deposits, which rose by 298,875 MTND. This allows the bank to reduce its resource cost. On the client credit side, net credits reached 534,995 MTND and gross credits stood at 576,884 MTND. The bank has more claims on banking and financial institutions, with a balance of 1,004,148 MTND.
The application of the provisions of Article 412, third paragraph (new) of the Commercial Code, resulted in an interest revenue cost of 0.009 MTND at the end of 2024. The balance of concerned credits stood at 2,012 MTND. The impact on future profits is not precisely determined, but we believe it will be more significant than last year. Nevertheless, Bank ABC Tunisie remains a profitable and efficient institution, supported by an internationally renowned shareholder structure.
