Tunisia's Exports to Kenya Surge by 84% in First Four Months of 2024

According to a report by the Tunisian Export Promotion Center (Cepex) on trade exchanges between Tunisia and Kenya, the value of Tunisian exports to Kenya, Tunisia's 13th largest African client, has increased by 84% as of the end of April 2024.

In the first four months of 2024, exports reached 28.9 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), up from 15.7 Mtnd during the same period in 2023.

On the other hand, imports from Kenya amounted to 0.3 Mtnd, a 25% decrease compared to the 0.4 Mtnd recorded at the end of April 2024.

As a result, Tunisia has a positive trade balance of 28.6 Mtnd.

It is worth noting that Tunisia has an untapped potential of $20 million for its exportable products to Kenya, including diammonium, electric meters, and olive oil.

Meanwhile, Kenya has an untapped potential of $5.2 million for its products destined for Tunisia, including black tea and jute fibers.
