Ministry of Communication Technologies Launches Call for Applications
The Ministry of Communication Technologies has launched a call for applications, targeting nine Tunisian startups. These startups will participate in GITEX Africa Marrakech 2026, a major African tech event.
Focus on Innovation, Investment, and Digital Technology
This event emphasizes innovation, investment, and digital technology, while also promoting strategic partnerships. It serves as a key platform for tech companies aiming to enter African markets, facilitating strategic partnerships and business growth.
International Cooperation
The Tunisian participation is part of an international cooperation effort, involving the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Digital Transformation Center of GIZ-Tunisia is a partner, along with CEPEX, Smart Tunisian Technoparks, and Smart Capital.
Accelerating African Expansion
The initiative showcases Tunisian tech excellence and supports the internationalization of high-potential startups. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to expand in Africa, with a viable business model and commercial traction (clients, pilot projects, or partnerships).
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation committee will assess the quality of the pitch and international maturity. Proficiency in French or English is required.

Opportunities and Support
The nine selected startups will receive an access badge and integrate the Tunisian national pavilion. They will benefit from institutional support, pitch to an international audience, and meet investors and large groups to establish partnerships.
Application Process and Calendar
The process includes an administrative review, pre-selection, and a pitch before a committee. Presentations can be made in French or English.
