In 2025, Tunisia reinforced its presence in the Gulf Arab markets, with exports reaching 763 million dinars. The United Arab Emirates became its primary partner, with nearly 950 million dinars in trade exchanges. Almost half of these exports to the region, approximately 356 million dinars, came from 282 Tunisian companies, demonstrating the sector's dynamism, as reported by the TAP agency.

This momentum is evident at the 31st edition of Gulfood Dubai 2026, the world's largest food and beverage exhibition, which opened its doors on January 26. Tunisia is represented by 61 companies showcasing a wide range of products across two pavilions, totaling over 800 square meters. According to the source, the first pavilion, organized by the Maison de l'Exportateur, presents cuisines from around the world with 48 exhibitors, while the second, supervised by Packtec, is dedicated to oils and fats and hosts 13 exhibitors of packaged olive oil.

Visitors can discover a variety of Tunisian products, including:

A Strategic Opportunity for Tunisia

For Tunisia, this exhibition is an opportunity to reach new customers, conquer markets in the Gulf, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and showcase its potential in the agri-food sector. The United Arab Emirates play a strategic role as a regional platform for import and re-export. According to the same source, this edition of Gulfood is the largest in history and is being held for the first time across two sites (the traditional Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City). It attracts over 8,500 exhibitors from 195 countries and covers 12 sectors of food and beverages, emphasizing innovation and logistical solutions. Tunisia shines with its flavors, colors, and authenticity, confirming its place on the global agri-food map.
