Carthage University Hosts AI for Sustainability Hackathon
The University of Carthage organized the first edition of the AI for Sustainability Hackathon on December 21, 22, and 23, as part of the Carthage ODD (Objectifs de Développement Durable) and through the PEEC (Pôle de l'Etudiant Entrepreneur de Carthage).
This Hackathon is part of the University's commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other actions to demonstrate its corporate social responsibility.
Notably, the University of Carthage is preparing for accreditation as an entrepreneurial university by the NCEE (National Center of Economics and Education), a UK-based organization that offers a global alliance of entrepreneurial universities worldwide.
It's essential to highlight that an entrepreneurial university not only educates students but also instills an entrepreneurial spirit and prepares them to integrate into the business world. In parallel, it communicates with economic sector leaders to advocate for training that meets the needs of various investment sectors.
Under the presidency of Mrs. Nadia Mzoughi, the University of Carthage is already a Premium member of the global alliance of entrepreneurial universities and has consistently demonstrated unwavering support for education and employability.
In this context, the PEEC is organizing its 7th cohort in 2025, inviting students to obtain the national status of Student Entrepreneur through a supervised process led by academic referees and professional mentors. This national status allows young entrepreneurs to build and develop their projects in parallel with their university studies.
